brilliant story, fantastic direction, superb editing , class 1 artists. everything thing associated with the movie was exemplary.... except for those brutal rape scenes.
i am a 29 year old unmarried woman ..i was shivering when i watched those rape scenes. Does the director really feel that it was necessary to show rape scenes explicitly. after watching VV i felt it was healthier to watch an hollywood blue film becoz I felt watching sexual scenes in a bedroom is definitely better to watch than watching these rape scenes.
This movie would definitely fetch the director awards but .are awards and fame alone important in a persons life dont we have some social responsibility as human beings. We definitely cannot make every human being holy overnight but we can atleast try not to corrupt the minds of YOUNG MEN who will be future husbands and fathers. I agree that it is important to show and make people aware of the all that is happening in this world.. but in this process the director has lost track
The director has literally shown the rape scenes in steps..Movies are for entertainement . If you cant entertain the audience atleast dont make them shiver..what stays in your mind What stays in your mind when u leave the theatre is not the brilliant acting of kamals , or gorgeous jothika , or the superb new york scenes or the pretty new heroine or even the excellently picturised songs but those vulgar rape scenes.
Talent is not important Mr. Gautham but channelising your talent for the benefit of others is important . Ask yourself Mr. Gautham .....would any woman direct a rape scene the way you did?

If you have a daughter MR. GAUTHAM ...jus imagine placing your daughter in those rape scenes and try to direct....and watch your reactions....


Te movie minus those rape scenes is a delight to watch ...
